Rieju motorcycles EFI 2 stroke ecu Tuning Emoticom
Are you searching for a way to start tuning your Rieju with the Emoticom ecu, but just don’t know where to begin?
Tuniverse is the answer!

Who is Tuniverse ?
Tuniverse was born from years of experience in Motorsport and Motorcycles/ATV racing and engine control unit remap.
Our mission is empowering the next generation of tuners by giving them both tools and knowledge to tune their own Rieju bikes 2 strokes with Emoticom engine control unit with confidence.
We provide for a complete remap solution: xdf (bin definition file), Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 tuned file and expert support, all at affordable pricing.
At Tuniverse, we do not just sell tuning products, we build a community of self-reliant, skilled riders and tuners ready to take control of their performance.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced tuner, we guide you step by step through the process of modifying the ecu of your vehicle safely and effectively.
Emoticom ECU tuning Solutions
We specialize in tuning solutions for Emoticom ecu.
To meet the needs of riders and tuning levels, we offer bin definition files (XDF) and Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 tuned files.
Emoticom software, interfaced via the Rieju communication cable, is the OEM tool used for reading and writing the ECU. It provides access to basic calibration of fuel delivery and ignition timing parameters. The software, however, enforces the following adjustment constraints:
- Fuel correction range: from -1.3 to +1.3 (relative units)
- Ignition timing correction range: from -8° to +3° crank angle
These limitations can be overridden by utilizing our custom XDF, which enables extended parameter access for advanced ECU calibration. This also includes direct control over base ignition timing maps and modification of the engine’s maximum RPM limiter.
(*)What is a XDF? The xdf, otherwise called bin definition file, tells the tuning software how to explain each byte in a the file coming from your ecu’s bike. In simple terms, the definition explains that “the byte at position X in the original file should be multiplied, divided, or adjusted by values W, Y, and Z to produce a real-world value.”
ECU tuning software uses this information to convert raw binary data into a format that is meaningful and easy to understand for the user.
Whether you are just starting out or pushing your vehicle to the limit, Tuniverse has the right setup for you!

What do we offer ?
Unlock the full potential of your setup with our personalized tuning service.
For every tuning request, you can choose among different options:
- Stage 1 – optimized for smooth performance and reliability (available for stock vehicles)
- Stage 2 – to ensure your engine and ECU work in harmony with your new performance parts (intake, exhaust, etc)
- Custom Modified Files – Tailored to your specific needs
- Editable Templates – Take control and fine-tune on your own
For the other type of requests we will give you a cost estimate.
What is a Stage 1 tuned file ?
Stage 1 refers to the first level of performance upgrade applied to a vehicle.
It usually involves basic, non-invasive modifications that enhance power and efficiency without compromising reliability or requiring major mechanical changes.
Stage1 is done for a full stock bikes.
When the customer changes, for example, air filter and exhaust, it is imperative a Stage 2 tuned file to adapt the ecu and engine parameters to the
new mechanical modifications (intake, exhaust, etc)
Which engine maps can be modified to achieve satisfying results?
For a Stage 1 tuned file, the following maps can be modified:
- Auxiliary Injection Correction: Applies an additional correction factor to the base fuel injection map. Used for fine-tuning fuel delivery under specific conditions such as temperature variations, cylinder imbalance, or transient response.
- Main Spark Advance: Defines the base ignition timing in degrees before top dead center (BTDC), mapped across engine speed and load. It governs the core combustion timing strategy for efficiency and power delivery.
- Auxiliary Spark Advance Correction: Provides dynamic adjustments to the base ignition map based on real-time inputs. Enables refined control to optimize performance and protect against knock or thermal stress.
- Exhaust Valve Opening: Controls the timing and degree of the exhaust valve actuator. This parameter influences exhaust backpressure and scavenging, affecting torque delivery, noise level, and emissions. Optimization of valve opening can improve mid-range performance and rideability, especially in variable valve systems.
- RPM Limiter: Sets the engine’s maximum operating speed. Once the target RPM is reached, the ECU intervenes by cutting fuel, spark, or both, to prevent engine over-speed and mechanical damage.
