Are you searching for a way to start tuning your Herald with the Delphi MT05 ecu, but just don’t know where to begin?
Tuniverse is the answer!
Who is Tuniverse ?
Tuniverse was born from years of experience in Motorsport and Motorcycles racing and engine control unit remap.
Our mission is empowering the next generation of motorcycle tuners by giving them both tools and knowledge to tune their own Herald with ecu Delphi MT05 with confidence.
We provide for a complete remap solution: xdf (bin definition file), Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 tuned file and expert support, all at affordable pricing.
At Tuniverse, we do not just sell tuning products, we build a community of self-reliant, skilled riders and tuners ready to take control of their performance.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced tuner, we guide you step by step through the process of modifying the ecu of your Herald safely and effectively.
Delphi MT05 ECU tuning Solutions
We specialize in tuning solutions for Delphi MT05 and MT05.2 ECUs.
To meet the needs of riders and tuning levels, we offer bin definition files (XDF) and Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 tuned files.
(*)What is a XDF? The xdf, otherwise called bin definition file, tells the tuning software how to explain each byte in a the file coming from your ecu’s bike. In simple terms, the definition explains that “the byte at position X in the original file should be multiplied, divided, or adjusted by values W, Y, and Z to produce a real-world value.”
ECU tuning software uses this information to convert raw binary data into a format that is meaningful and easy to understand for the user.
Whether you are just starting out or pushing your bike to the limit, Tuniverse has the right setup for you!

What is a Stage 1 tuned file ?
Stage 1 refers to the initial level of performance enhancement for a vehicle.
It typically includes basic, non-intrusive modifications, that improve power and efficiency without affecting reliability or requesting significant mechanical alterations.
Stage1 is done for a full stock motorcycle.
When the customer changes, for example, air filter and exhaust, it is imperative a Stage 2 tuned file to adapt the ecu and engine parameters to the
new mechanical modifications.
Here below you can see an example of a dyno chart done on a 125cc air cooled bike: in blue, the stock power; in orange, the Stage 1 power applied.

Which engine maps can be modified to achieve satisfying results?
For a Stage 1 tuned file, the following maps can be modified:
- Fuel Delivery Maps: Reworked to optimize injector activation time across different RPM ranges and engine loads.
- AFR / Lambda Calibration Maps: Updated desired lambda settings to enhance combustion performance across diverse driving scenarios.
- Enrichment for High Load Conditions: Adjusted fuel supply relative to throttle angle to provide sufficient fueling during heavy load operations.
- Spark Advance Maps: Tuned ignition timing for full-throttle, partial load, and light load areas to improve power delivery and engine responsiveness while avoiding pre-ignition.
- Mixture Control Maps: Further refined air-fuel balance beyond baseline AFR targets, incorporating real-time airflow efficiency and transient behavior.
